Le recto mentionne Bellérophon, réputé pour sa chasteté, qui, rendu fou, trouva la mort tout comme son compagnon de chasse (d’Artémis aussi), qui pourrait être Hippolyte. Un espace marqué d’une diagonale semble conclure cet argument : le verso décrit le châtiment infligé par Médée à l’arrogant Jason, dont le nom apparaît sur le papyrus, peut-être au discours direct.
